Dear MMEA
Member and Friend of Symphony Hall Scholars:
Symphony Hall
Scholars is proud to announce our success during our first
10 years --
nearly $80,000 has been raised to subsidize our All State
musicians! Last year alone, we raised $10,780 from MMEA
members and organizations, plus non-MMEA members who made a
donation in honor and memory of Past-President, Dwight Killam. This is a wonderful record of generosity from our
many donors.
Thank you and congratulations to all
who have made this happen!
As you know, SHS
funding has significantly helped to reduce the gap between
what our Massachusetts All State musicians pay and the real
cost of running All State rehearsals, housing, meals, buses,
Symphony Hall rental, and the culminating concert.
We hope that if you
have supported SHS you will do so again and help us
celebrate
our 10th
anniversary!
If you have not contributed recently,
we invite you to participate in
this initiative. Your
contribution will continue to make it possible for our All
State musicians to have that life-changing, intense musical
experience working with world-class conductors and talented
peers from around the Commonwealth.
Please remember that no donation is too
small! Any amount is most gratefully received.
And, of course, all donations are fully deductible as a
charitable contribution. We hope you will take
advantage of contributing before December 31st
in order to qualify for this year's deduction.
Thank you
for your dedication in making a
difference in students' lives!
With appreciation
for your continuing support,
Emilee Blanchet,
Noreen Diamond Burdett, Jonathan Rappaport
