Audition Registration: Register your students using this link: Audition Registration. In order to register students for All-State auditions, a username and password are required, as follows:
Username:  The username for each school is the District Code of your particular school - different for each High School. Just the District Code; the name of your school is not part of the username. Your MENC ID is NOT your username.
Password: Passwords are the same ones you used to register for All State Auditions last year. These may or may not be the same as the password you used to register for District Auditions, depending on your District. The expiration date of your MENC ID is NOT your password. If you don't remember your password, try using the "Forgotten Password" link available from the login page.
If you need assistance with your username/password, please email Rick Lueth, at rick.lueth@comcast.net.

Audition Times:
The audition schedule by district is indicated in the following table. Note the time that corresponds to the name of your school and your geographic district.
Home-schooled students may come at any time during their geographic district's audition times, or arrange a suitable time with Tom Walters, the MMEA Auditions Coordinator, in advance. Contact Tom at tswalters@methuen.k12.ma.us.

Approved by the District Presidents and the MMEA Executive Board, May 2010.

Eligibility to Audition for Massachusetts All State

  • Students in the top half (50%) of accepted wind, percussion, string, and vocal students for each instrument or voice part from senior district audition score results will receive recommendations. No substitutes, students filling in parts, or students moving up due to a cancellation will receive an All State recommendation.

  • All jazz students will receive a recommendation if they have auditioned for and participated in senior district.

  • Students must participate fully and completely in their respective senior district festival* to be eligible to audition for All State. The All State recommendation will be based on their senior district instrument or voice part, and may not be changed.

  • Students may only complete one audition for one All State ensemble. Students qualifying for All State recommendations may choose ONE audition on either jazz OR classical wind / percussion / string bass.

  • Students that notify festival officials that they will decline to participate in the All State festival after the registration deadline, usually mid-February, because of conflicts with other activities, may forfeit their All State audition eligibility for the following year.

* Students that are selected for their senior district but are unable to participate due to health-related issues that are documented by a physician will retain their eligibility to audition for All State.
